• Public Skating is open to all ages and skill levels.

  • The admission price for all ages is $10 which includes rental skates and skating for the entire session length.

  • The rink is cool in the Summer and cold in the Winter.  Dress in layers as you will warm up quickly while skating.

  • Public Skating is ideal for birthday parties, group events, family outings and date nights.

  • ​Online schedules reflect cancellations or changes due to severe weather.




  • $10 for all ages.
  • The Admission Price includes rental skates and skating for the entire session.
  • Parent, guardians and child care providers that are not skating do not have to pay admission.  All others are required to pay admission and be in skates.  Loitering is not permitted.
  • Active U.S. Military admission is $5 with service ID.



  • Rental skates are included in the Admission Price.
  • Figure and hockey skates are available.
  • Sizes range from toddler sizes to adult 16.
  • Half sizes are not available.
  • There are no male or female size designations.



  • Skates should be snug.
  • Lace skates tightly, all the way to the top.
  • Skate sizes are bigger than shoe sizes, so request skates that are a half to whole size smaller than your shoe size.
  • Never wear skates that are too big.  You will have difficulty and risk injury.  Return to the skate counter to trade for a smaller pair.

  • Helmets are recommended for new or very young skaters.
  • You may bring your own helmet, or rental helmets are available for $5.




  • Always wear socks.  Thin socks are fine.  Two pairs of socks are not necessary and may cause skates to fit poorly.
  • The rink is cool during the Summer and cold during the Winter months.

  • The schedule typically reflects sessions in the upcoming one to two months.  Please check back if you do not see a session scheduled out past 30 days.
  • All dates and times are subject to change, especially sessions over a month out.  Always check the schedule before coming to the rink.
  • Rink schedules always reflect cancellations due to inclement weather.
Song Requests
  • Song requests are taken at the skate rental counter.  Please provide the song title and artist.
  • At the start or end of sessions, or during very busy sessions, our staff may not be available to take requests or honor all requests.
  • Do not request songs with explicit or inappropriate content.
  • Please review our Rules, Safety, Risks & Disclaimers if this is your first time visiting our rink.
  • The Pineville Ice House is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Leave valuables in your vehicle, or ask our staff to hold an item for you while you skate.

Music on Friday Nights

Music played during our Friday night Public Skating sessions is geared toward teens and adults.  We play music from multiple decades and genres:  Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, Country, Latin, Rock and others.  We take song requests, and some songs may contain explicit content.  Clean versions of popular songs are not always readily available.

Music on Saturdays & Sundays

Music played during our Saturday, Sunday and weekday Public Skating sessions is intended to be diverse and family friendly.  Our playlist includes popular music from multiple decades and genres.  If you hear a song with explicit content - we apologize.  Some songs may slip through our streaming filters.  Please notify our staff so that we can skip to the next song.
