The Pineville Ice House seeks part time and full time staff who are enthusiastic about working at an ice rink. Hockey, figure skating and rink experience are desired but not always required. Available positions, pay rates and qualifications are provided below.
Compensation - Part time Customer Service, Scorekeeper, Pro Shop and Facility positions pay $12 to $18 per hour based on experience and availability. The pay rate for Food Service positions is $10 per hour plus tips.
Customer Service - Front desk admissions, skate rental, skate guard, cleaning and custodial. Minimum age 16, proficient ice skater, friendly and capable of physical labor.
Food Service - Prepare and serve restaurant menu items. Cleaning and custodial. Minimum age 18. Food service experience. Friendly and capable of physical labor. Additional Information
Hockey Scorekeeper - Maintain game time, goals, penalties and player stats. Announce goals, assists and penalties. Play music during intermissions and stoppages in play. Interact with referees and players. Minimum age 18. Hockey and/or rink experience. Confident and willing to speak over public address system.
Pro Shop Sales & Service - Sell hockey and figure skating equipment, apparel and supplies. Sharpen, profile and service skates (training provided). Receive, stock, rotate and monitor merchandise inventory and service supplies. Minimum age 18. Hockey, rink and/or retail experience.
Facility Maintenance - Ice and building maintenance. Cleaning and custodial. Minimum age 18. Maintenance or custodial experience at athletic or commercial property. Ability and willingness to: operate heavy equipment; use power and hand tools; work in high spaces on ladder or scissor lift; perform physical work and custodial duties.
Summer Cool Camp Counselor - On and off ice instruction and supervision of rising first through eighth graders. Weekdays, June through August. Minimum age 16. Figure skating or hockey experience. Energetic, friendly and outgoing.
