Additional Information

  • Roster Size - Teams typically carry fifteen or fewer players and two goalies.
  • Player Uniform & Apparel - Players are furnished with home and away jerseys and socks, warmup shorts and t-shirt, warmup jacket and pants, and an equipment bag.  Players keep all items after the season.  All players are required to wear a black helmet.  Helmets are not provided.
  • Team Practices - As noted above, teams may have full ice, shared (half ice) or a combination of the two during practice.  Practice counts and format may vary due to game schedules, team travel, holidays and weather.  A Falcons goalie instructor attends all team practices.
  • Preseason Training Camps - Include power skating, individual skills, Power Player skills evaluation, concussion baseline test and a body contact clinic for all teams.
  • Off Ice Player Development - Players receive off ice strength, conditioning and skills training.  Sessions are scheduled before a weekly practice.  Provided by MADabolic and Falcons skills coaches.
  • Power Player Software - Player development and feedback program.  For more information visit The Power Player.
  • CHL League Games - League games are scheduled by the CHL in August and September.  Total games and travel requirements are driven by the number and location of teams participating in each CHL Division.  The game count is subject to change based on league participation and schedules.
  • Exhibition Games - The schedule typically consists of an even split of home and away games.  The home/away split and number of games are subject to change and are subject to approval by the Head Coach and Hockey Director.
  • Tournaments - Teams play in regular season tournaments as shown above and in the CHL championship tournament if they qualify. Tournaments are selected by the Team Manager and Head Coach. Tournament selections are subject to approval by the Hockey Director and must be completed before the CHL Championship Tournament.
  • USA Hockey Registration - All players must have a current USA Hockey Registration on file with the Falcons.
  • Concussion Management - Due to the physical nature of hockey we strongly recommend that players visit our Concussion Management Page.
  • Player And Parent Conduct - The Pineville Falcons will not tolerate from its players, coaches, parents or guardians:  fighting; deliberate actions on or off the ice that can lead to injury; destruction or damage of any property or facility; conduct that disrupts team practices, games, meetings or any kind of team event; or conduct that reflects negatively upon the image of the Falcons.  A player suspension or total expulsion from the Pineville Falcons program may be used if deemed necessary and is at the sole discretion of the Falcons organization.

Additional Notes, Terms & Conditions
  • Total Cost - Sum of Deposit and Team Fees.
  • Deposit - Due when a player commits to the team.  The Deposit is non-refundable.
  • Team Fee - Until the Team Fee is paid in full, players must have a current Visa, MasterCard or Discover card number on file with the rink.  This card will be charged according to the payment schedule above.  Families may make the team payment with cash, a check or an alternate credit card; however, this payment must be made 72 hours before the payment date to avoid the automatic charge.  Players with past due balances may not be eligible to participate in team activities.
  • ​Travel Expenses - Player and family travel expenses are NOT included in the costs shown above. Travel expenses typically include transportation, hotels and meals. Players should anticipate that at least half of their games will be played at other rinks, and that overnight stays may range from one to three nights per trip.
  • Previous Obligations - Financial obligations for past seasons with the Falcons or other youth hockey organizations must be paid in full before a player is eligible for the upcoming season.
  • Goalie Discount - Goalies receive a 20% discount from the "Total Cost" shown above.  The discount is applied against the team fee.
  • Sibling Discounts - Siblings within the current Falcons travel season receive a 50% discount off the final installments shown on the above schedule.
  • Team Manager Discount - A player whose parent serves as Team Manager receives a 20% discount from the Total Cost shown above.  The discount is taken from the final payments of the season.  Only one team Manager Discount is available per team.  Team Managers are selected by the Hockey Development Manager.  Please request an application.
