2020-2021 PRESEASON TEAM DEVELOPMENT & SELECTION CLINIC

Purpose

Develop skills and form teams while we await information about competitions and opportunities for the 2020-2021 season.

Preseason

Clinic

Details

  • Six, one hour sessions.
  • Saturdays at 12:35-1:35 PM:  July 25, August 1, August 15, August 22 and August 29.
  • Sunday 8:30-9:30 AM:  August 9 only.
  • Price = $125.  Advance registration is required.  See link to your right.
  • For all returning Charlotte Synchro skaters, skaters from other programs and all skaters Basic 4 and higher interested in synchronized skating.
  • Skaters that participate in the Clinic are NOT obligated to join a team for the regular season.
  • Coaches:  Dawn Feest, Laura Mullen and Kyle McIntyre.

Season

The regular season will begin Saturday, September 19. By this date, we expect to have established team levels, assigned coaches and named skaters, and we expect to present information about team costs, events, schedules and activities.

No

Tryouts

  • There will be NO TEAM TRYOUTS.
  • Teams will be formed from participants in this Preseason Clinic.
  • Skater participation in the Preseason Clinic is essential to establishing teams and team levels.
  • If you cannot attend the Preseason Clinic but want to be on a team, please email our Skating Director at kyle.mcintyre@pinevilleice.com.

Skaters and parents must follow rink rules in place which are subject to change due to changes in local regulations.  These rules currently include:

  • Temperature checks upon arrival at the rink.  We cannot admit any person into the rink with a temperature of 100.4 F or higher.
  • Wear a mask if you are not skating, eating or drinking, or not social distancing.
  • Do not enter the rink if you have tested positive for or have the symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Skaters must wash their hands immediately before the start of each session.

Even with precautions taken, the Pineville Ice House offers no guarantees or assurances against exposure to COVID-19.  Do not register for this Clinic if any of the following conditions are unacceptable.

  • Skaters and coaches are not required to wear masks on the ice.
  • Social distancing may not be possible during many on ice activities.
  • Due to the nature of synchronized skating and the instruction of synchronized skating, physical contact between skaters and between coaches and skaters may be unavoidable and essential.
