Once your skater has developed the necessary skating technique, they are ready to learn game fundamentals such as stick handling, passing, and shooting. Our Learn to Play program teaches game fundamentals and rules in a fun environment.
Skaters that have demonstrated the skills necessary to pass the prerequisite Snowplow Sam and Basic level classes may advance to our Hockey Learn to Skate Program. These classes are focused on hockey skating technique, power and agility and are endorsed by USA Hockey. Additional skating development will improve a player's overall hockey abilities.
The Pineville Falcons field teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U levels. Travel hockey is intended for intermediate to advanced youth players. Players named to our Falcons teams have the opportunity to play high level teams throughout the Carolinas and along the east coast. Tryouts are held annually in the spring.

The Pineville Youth Hockey League (PYHL) is a recreational hockey league for youth players through age 16. This league is designed to help players develop their skills in a fun environment. All practices and games are held at the Pineville Ice House and all age levels are non-checking.
