Off Ice Player

Development

Players receive off ice strength, conditioning and skills training.

Goalie

Development

Falcons goalie instructor will attend all team practices.

League ChampionshipTeams that qualify will also play in the CAHA or the Ryan Sobiech CHL Championship Tournament at the end of the season.
  • Team Practices & Skills Sessions - Ice may be shared with another team during some or all sessions.  Practice count may vary due to game schedules, team travel, holidays and weather. 
  • CHL League Games - League games are scheduled by the CHL in August and September. Total games and travel requirements are driven by the number and location of teams participating in each CHL Division.
  • Exhibition Games - The schedule typically consists of an even split of home and away games.  The home/away split and number of games are subject to change and are subject to approval by the Head Coach and Hockey Director.
  • Tournaments - Teams play in regular season tournaments as shown above and in the CHL championship tournament if they qualify. Tournaments are selected by the Team Manager and Head Coach. Tournament selections are subject to approval by the Hockey Director and must be completed before the CHL Championship Tournament.

Player UniformPlayers are furnished with home and away jerseys and socks, warmup shorts and t-shirt, warmup jacket and pants,  and an equipment bag.  Players keep all items after the season.  All players are required to wear a black helmet.  Helmets are not provided.  
USA Hockey Registration
All players must have a current USA Hockey Registration on file with the Falcons.

  • Goalie Discount: Goalies receive a 20% discount from the "Total Cost" shown above.  The discount is applied against the team fee.
  • Sibling Discounts:  Siblings within the current Falcons travel season are eligible for this discount. Each sibling will receive a discount of the one half of the amount of the final installment shown in the schedule above.  The discount will be applied to the final payment.  To receive this discount you must inquire with the Hockey Development Manager, Jared Gaudet.
  • Team Manager Discount:  Team Managers receive a 20% discount from the Total Cost shown above.  The discount is taken from the final payments of the season.  Only one team Manager Discount is available per team.  Team Managers are selected by the Hockey Development Manager.  Please request an application.

COST & SCHEDULE NOTES
  1. Deposit - Due when a player commits to the team. This Deposit is non-refundable.
  2. Team Fee - Until the Team Fee is paid in full, players must have a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card number on file with the rink. This card will be charged according to the payment schedule above. Families may make the team payment with cash, a check or an alternate credit card, but this payment must be made 48 hours before the payment date to avoid the automatic charge. Players with past due balances may not be eligible to participate in team activities.
  3. ​Travel Expenses - Player and family travel expenses are NOT included in the costs shown above. Travel expenses typically include transportation, hotels and meals. Players should anticipate that at least half of their games will be played at other rinks, and that overnight stays may range from one to three nights per trip.
  4. Financial obligations for past seasons with the Falcons or other youth hockey organizations must be paid in full before a player is eligible for the upcoming season.

General Information

Pineville Falcons | Travel Hockey

GAMES & PRACTICES - Teams play in the Carolinas Hockey League (CHL) which spans North and South Carolina; Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia; and Augusta, Georgia.  Teams may also play in regional and national tournaments as well as in exhibition games around the Southeast.  All home games and practices are at the Pineville Ice House.​


COST - Please see team information for cost details.  Costs shown do not include player and family travel which can range from $1,500 to $3,000 per season (including cost of parent travel). Fees may vary by team due to differences in roster size, CHL placement and expected schedule.  Travel Team fees include practices, skills sessions, league games, exhibition games and tournaments. Fees also include jerseys, socks, team warmups and player equipment bags.

PLAYER AND PARENT CONDUCT - The Pineville Falcons will not tolerate from its players, coaches, parents or guardians:  fighting; deliberate actions on or off the ice that can lead to injury; destruction or damage of any property or facility; conduct that disrupts team practices, games, meetings or any kind of team event; or conduct that reflects negatively upon the image of the Falcons.  A player suspension or total expulsion from the Pineville Falcons program may be used if deemed necessary and is at the sole discretion of the Falcons organization.
