The Pineville Falcons select coaches based on their USA Hockey credentials, coaching and playing experience, character, and commitment to youth hockey. Coach bios for the 2017-2018 season are listed below.
Pierre Bizier - Coach Bizer grew up and played travel hockey in Watertown, Connecticut for the Watertown Red Wings Organization. Throughout high school Pierre played for Watertown High School and Stanstead College Prep School in Quebec, Canada earning a provincial championship in 2004. He finished his career playing club hockey for the University of Connecticut.
Bill Bredin - Bill played forward for Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey; Merrimack College in the NCAA Division I Hockey East; and juniors with the New Jersey Rockets. Bill captained his prep and junior teams, and his junior team claimed the Silver Medal at USA Hockey Nationals. Bill’s coaching tenure includes over 20 years of head coach and development roles with the American Eagles, New Jersey Titans, Red Bank Generals, Hockey Tech International, SCE Hockey, Steel City Selects, and Next Level Hockey. Bill holds a USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certification. Bill has officiated hockey for 20 years for the ECHL and for the NCAA Division I, WCHA and ECAC hockey divisions. Bill has refereed multiple USA Hockey National Championships as well as conference and Frozen Four college championship games. Bill’s league experience includes administrative and management roles with the ECHL, USHL and NHL.
Brent Breslin - Coach Brent grew up in a hockey family, playing travel hockey in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio. In high school, Brent played 4 years Varsity and served as the assistant captain for a year. Brent has previous experience coaching youth hockey teams during his college years.
Russell Clark - Coach Russell started playing travel hockey in Raleigh, NC for RYHA Bantam B, Impact Midget A/AA, and Team Carolina Midget AAA. In high school he played in the Suffolk PAL Junior B earning a national championship in 2009. He has coached travel hockey in North Carolina for the Carolina Stars and Pro Hockey Schools.
Tim Clark - Coach Clark grew up in Oswego NY and played seven years on travel teams from squirts through midgets and three years of varsity at Oswego High School. Coach Clark went on to play Junior hockey at age 18 for Cardinal Broncos Ontario followed by college at SUNY Canton and Cortland D3. Coach Clark has experience coaching in the RYHA House, Jr Hurricane’s A/AA, Cheyenne WY B, and Oswego B. He has been a Level 4 coach since 2012
Jared Gaudet - Jared is the lead instructor for the Pineville Youth Hockey League. He coaches youth and adult hockey clinics at the Pineville Ice House. Jared grew up playing AAA travel hockey in Michigan and finished with his high school team, Livonia Stevenson. He also coached travel hockey in Florence, Kentucky and has helped run hockey clinics for the Reebok and CCM Hockey company.
Marc James - Coach James played travel hockey in Watertown, NY throughout his childhood. He spent his high school years playing for Watertown High School's varsity team and for Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA. In college he played varsity hockey for SUNY Binghamton, Binghamton Rangers Junior B team, and Clarkson University's JV hockey team.
Ted Kreppein - Coach Ted grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut where he played travel hockey and was All State in High School. He played one year of post graduate hockey in the New England Prep School League and spent several summers competing at the annual Hockey Night in Boston Tournament. He later went on to play club hockey at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After serving 5 years in the US Marines, he returned to his home town where he coached, was a board member, and ran the girls program for the Greenwich Skating Club.
Garry McAvoy - Coach Garry played four years of Division I Hockey for the United States Military Academy Black Knights. Garry was Assistant Captain for the Black Knights during his senior year, and he was one of the all time assists leaders. He played youth hockey in Acton, Massachusetts, where he was team captain of his high school team. Garry is a USA Hockey Level IV coach, and he has coached youth hockey for six seasons at the A, AA and AAA levels for Mites through Midgets.
Brandon Plunkett - Coach Plunkett has been coaching with the Falcons since 2012. He has served as assistant coach for our Squirt Select, Squirt A, Peewee A, and Peewee AA teams. Brandon played youth hockey in Connecticut where he played Mite through Bantams plus three years of high school hockey. Coach Brandon also played four years of club lacrosse at the University of Connecticut. He also has coached recreational and travel baseball teams.
Ted Reilly - Coach Reilly has been coaching with the Falcons since 2012. He has coached our Squirt Select, Squirt A, Peewee A, Peewee AA, and Bantam AA teams. Ted played AAA hockey for the Wheatfield Blades in the U.S. and Canada from Peewee through Junior B. Ted played for and graduated from Division I Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. Ted has also coached for Wheatfield Blades Travel, Niagara University and the Monroe County AAA Eagles. He has also instructed at hockey camps for Canisius College and RIT, and he has coached Pineville's Youth Hockey League.
Jeff Warters - Jeff has been Instructing all levels of skaters for more than 15 years. He has extensive edge and footwork experience geared toward improving control, power and speed on the ice. Jeff was a US Figure Skating Senior Level National Pair Skater and joins the Falcons as the lead skating instructor.
Luke Zehr - Luke grew up playing rep hockey in southwestern Ontario and later moved on to play 6 years of junior hockey. When his Junior career ended, he joined the Tavistock Braves Junior Hockey Club as an assistant coach and goalie coach for the 3 seasons before taking over as President in his final year with the club. Luke has attended and instructed at multiple goalie camps and continues to provide individual goalie coaching and consulting lessons for squirt up to the junior level.
