Coaching Staff

The Pineville Falcons select coaches based on their USA Hockey credentials, coaching and playing experience, character, and commitment to youth hockey. 



Bill Bredin - Bill played forward for Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey; Merrimack College in the NCAA Division I Hockey East; and juniors with the New Jersey Rockets.  Bill captained his prep and junior teams, and his junior team claimed the Silver Medal at USA Hockey Nationals.  Bill’s coaching tenure includes over 20 years of head coach and development roles with the American Eagles, New Jersey Titans, Red Bank Generals, Hockey Tech International, SCE Hockey, Steel City Selects, and Next Level Hockey.  Bill holds a USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certification.  Bill has officiated hockey for 20 years for the ECHL and for the NCAA Division I,  WCHA and ECAC hockey divisions.  Bill has refereed multiple USA Hockey National Championships as well as conference and Frozen Four college championship games.  Bill’s league experience includes administrative and management roles with the ECHL, USHL and NHL.


Jesse Brause - Coach Jesse started as the head goalie coach for the Pineville Falcons in 2019.  Jesse grew up playing travel hockey here in Charlotte for the Charlotte Lightning and the Charlotte Jr Checkers. His senior year in high school he played prep hockey in Shelburne, Ontario for the Shelburne Hornets of the Greater Metro Hockey League. 


Nick Camp - Coach Nick played high school and minor hockey in Canton, NY and Club Hockey at Castleton University.  He would later coach the Women's NCAA Div III team at his Alma Mater as they transitioned from a club team to varsity.  Coach Camp has worked for the Pineville Ice House since moving to Charlotte in 2006, serving as the Hockey Director from 2008-2019.  He has coached a Falcons Travel team as an assistant or head coach since the 2014-2015 season.


Russell Clark - Coach Russell started playing travel hockey in Raleigh, NC for RYHA Bantam B, Impact Midget A/AA, and Team Carolina Midget AAA.  In high school he played in the Suffolk PAL Junior B earning a national championship in 2009.  He has coached travel hockey in North Carolina for the Carolina Stars and Pro Hockey Schools.​​


Grady Clingan - Coach Grady is the power skating instructor for the Pineville Falcons Travel program. In addition, he also helps to coach the in-house teams and “Learn-to-Play” sessions. Grady grew up playing AAA hockey in Pittsburgh, eventually making his way to Shattuck St. Marys in the small town of Fairbault, Minnesota. Grady finished his competitive hockey career at Ohio University.  He has been coaching and officiating in Charlotte since 2016.


Brandon Corder - Coach Brandon has coached the Pineville Youth Hockey League since 2014.  He coaches youth and adult hockey clinics at the Pineville Ice House.  Brandon grew up in Michigan playing AAA travel hockey and Tier III Junior B level hockey in the CSHL.


Jared Gaudet - Jared is the lead instructor for the Pineville Falcons and Pineville Youth Hockey League.  He coaches youth and adult hockey clinics at the Pineville Ice House.  Jared grew up playing AAA travel hockey in Michigan and finished with his high school team, Livonia Stevenson. He also coached travel hockey in Florence, Kentucky and has helped run hockey clinics for the Reebok and CCM Hockey company.


Andrew Maronich  - Andrew grew up in the Chicagoland area and played travel hockey for the Rockford Roadrunners.  During High School, Andrew played for the Orland Park Vikings AA team where he won a State Championship.  He went on to play Varsity Hockey for Lincoln-Way Central High School.  After High School, he finished his career playing club hockey for Eastern Illinois University.  After graduation, he was the head coach for the Kankakee Coyotes Squirt Travel team before moving to Charlotte in 2016.


Luke Zehr - Luke grew up playing rep hockey in southwestern Ontario and later moved on to play 6 years of junior hockey.  When his Junior career ended, he joined the Tavistock Braves Junior Hockey Club as an assistant coach and goalie coach for the 3 seasons before taking over as President in his final year with the club.  Luke has attended and instructed at multiple goalie camps and continues to provide individual goalie coaching and consulting lessons for squirt up to the junior level.
